Grimes to speak about the “Day When Quantum Computers Break Crypto”

KnowBe4, the provider of the world’s largest security awareness training and simulated phishing platform, today announced that its data-driven defense evangelist Roger Grimes will speak about the “Day When Quantum Computers Break Crypto” at the BSides Tampa 2019 event taking place on February 2 from 11:00 – 11:45 a.m.

Each BSides is a community-driven framework for building events for and by information security community members. The goal is to expand the spectrum of conversation beyond tradition confines of space and time. It creates opportunities for individuals to both present and participate in an intimate atmosphere that encourages collaboration. “I’m honored to speak at the BSides Tampa event,” said Grimes. “Quantum computing is getting ready to break all tradition public key cryptography, so bringing awareness to the phenomenon is important. During this session, I’ll explore how quantum computers are breaking today’s cryptography, when this is likely to happen, and what security professionals can do to start preparing for it today.”
