Martin Kraemer

Martin helps organizations in Europe & Middle East to understand and mitigate cybersecurity risks. As a CISO Advisor, his thought leadership and research drive the development of effective, sustainable risk-reduction strategies that integrate people, processes, and technology in a holistic approach. Martin is highly influential in shaping the future of Human Risk Management through speaking engagements, writing, and in advocating for a human-centered approach to cybersecurity. An established cybersecurity expert, Martin has held positions in research & development, strategy & innovation, and thought leadership. He joined KnowBe4 after shaping and implementing federal cybersecurity research policy. Prior, he worked as a researcher on privacy and security behaviors, cyber risk management, and systems security.

Martin holds a PhD in cybersecurity from the University of Oxford, a Master of Science in Computer Science with Focus on Security and Privacy from The University of Edinburgh, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems from the Baden-Wurttemberg Cooperative State University in Mannheim. Martin was awarded a full, discretionary EPSRC scholarship for his doctoral studies, and he holds the IAPP CIPP/E certification.
