KnowBe4 makes Best Workplaces for Millennials list for third consecutive year
Great Place to Work and FORTUNE have honored KnowBe4 as one of the 2020 Best Workplaces for Millennials. The ranking considered feedback representing over 4.9 million employees working at Great Place to Work-Certified organizations. Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ experience on the job. These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. Rankings are based on employees’ feedback and reward companies who best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization. KnowBe4 took the number 25 spot on the list.
“It’s an honor to be recognized as a top workplace for millennials because we’ve worked so hard to create a positive and unique culture within our organization; one in which people actually enjoy coming to work every day,” said Stu Sjouwerman, CEO, KnowBe4. “Millennials appreciate working at KnowBe4 because we stress the importance of fun, transparency and career growth. When it comes to growth and opportunities, of the 60% of KnowBe4’s workforce that makes up millennials, 20% of them have been promoted in the last year.”
“It’s important for us to create the type of work environment where we’re giving back to the community so employees, especially millennials who place a high value on what an organization does for its community, really feel a sense of value and pride in working for KnowBe4,” said Erika Lance, SVP of people operations, KnowBe4. “That’s why we participate in at least one new philanthropic activity per month – everything from scholarships to back to school donations to giving gifts to children around the holidays and more. We hope to get even more millennials onboard as we continue to experience hypergrowth.”
“For many years, organizations have put forth considerable effort towards attracting and retaining millennial talent” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “The Best Workplaces on this list have created cultures where its youngest employees experience not only an environment where they can grow professionally and personally, but also find a deeper sense of purpose in their work. As we prepare for a large influx of young professionals from Generation Z to enter the work force for the first time, these organizations have distinguished themselves as the leaders in attracting and developing the leaders of tomorrow.”
