This recognition, received on August 5, 2024, underscores our dedication to environmental responsibility and sustainable business practices. At KnowBe4, we believe in the importance of preserving our planet for future generations. Our comprehensive sustainability program, which permeates all levels of our organization, reflects this commitment. The Sustainability Awards, now in its ninth year, celebrate organizations that have integrated sustainability into their core business strategies, and we are humbled to be among the winners.   ### Our award-winning initiatives include: - Making carbon footprint, clean energy, and [zero waste commitments. ](https://www.knowbe4.com/sustainability-knowbe4) - Expanding our employee resource group, EarthBe4. This group has spearheaded many community initiatives, including over 35 company group cleanups and hundreds of individual cleanups, where we have removed nearly 6,500 pounds of garbage from the environment since mid-2021! EarthBe4 has also led the adoption of the area around our Clearwater, FL, headquarters through the local Adopt-a-Street program.  ![IMG_3557](https://www.knowbe4.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Sustainability%20Blog/IMG_3557.jpg?width=450&height=253&name=IMG_3557.jpg) - The ongoing commitment to our Knowster Climate Pledge, which rolled out on Earth Day 2021 to encourage employees to make a personal pledge to a more sustainable lifestyle. To date, approximately 95% of our employees have made a commitment through the pledge. - Our courtesy recycling program for employees involves collecting and recycling various items such as plastic and reusable bags, electronics, batteries, and printer cartridges, among others. - Our banner bag program, where we repurpose promotional banners into reusable bags for our employees, diverting nearly 500 pounds from the waste stream since the program’s inception. - The establishment of our Environmentally Preferred Purchasing Policy, our Sustainability Policy to govern certain corporate activities, and our Zero Waste Plan and Sustainability Master Plan to drive accountability towards our larger sustainability goals. ![EarthBe4 Photo (4)](https://www.knowbe4.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Sustainability%20Blog/EarthBe4%20Photo%20(4).jpg?width=450&height=420&name=EarthBe4%20Photo%20(4).jpg) These efforts reflect our holistic approach to sustainability, involving employees at all levels and integrating environmental consciousness into our corporate culture.
