To determine the Fortune Best Medium Workplaces list, Great Place to Work analyzed the survey responses of over 200,000 employees from Great Place to Work-Certified™ companies with 100 to 999 U.S. employees. In that survey, 96% of KnowBe4’s employees said KnowBe4 is a great place to work. This number is 39% higher than the average U.S. company.

“KnowBe4 is proud to be recognized and to place on this list for the fifth consecutive year,” said Stu Sjouwerman, CEO, KnowBe4. “As a best workplace, we are dedicated to maintaining our unique corporate culture and positive work environment which is based on transparency, fun, openness and fairness. Our people make working at KnowBe4 a truly special experience every day. We celebrate and thank them for all they do to earn this incredible honor.”

The Fortune Best Medium Workplaces list is highly competitive. Great Place to Work is the only company culture award in America that selects winners based on how fairly employees are treated. Companies are assessed on how well they are creating a great employee experience that cuts across race, gender, age, disability status, or any aspect of who employees are or what their role is.

“It’s not the size of an organization that makes it great, but how the organization treats its people,” says Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “And these medium workplaces have proven that the inspiring cultures they’ve created go head-to-head with those of any large corporation. Leaders at these companies put their people first, and in return, achieve stronger business results than the average workplace.”

In 2022, KnowBe4 also ranked as a Best Workplace for Millennials™ and in 2021, KnowBe4 ranked as a Best Workplace for Parents™, Millennials™, Women™ and was ranked #8 on the list in Fortune Best Medium Workplaces™ and #4 in Fortune Best Workplaces in Technology™ (Small And Medium).
