James McQuiggan

CISO Advisor

James McQuiggan is CISO Advisor for KnowBe4. In this role, he delivers thought leadership and strategic evangelism  through conference speaking, content creation, and media engagement. McQuiggan works to create takeaways and action items for audiences with his unique perspective of current and future trends surrounding human risk management and other related security issues.

He brings over 20 years of cybersecurity expertise to KnowBe4, having previously held senior cybersecurity roles at Siemens Energy and Wind Divisions spanning cybersecurity standards, incident response, and industrial control system security. He also serves as part-time faculty at Full Sail University, where he teaches Cyber Threat Intelligence.

James holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and maintains certifications including CISSP from ISC2, SACP for Security Awareness and Culture, and OSC for Open Source Certification. A dedicated community leader, McQuiggan volunteers with ISC2 as Co-chair of the North American Region Advisory Council and Chair of the Southeast Chapter Regional Management Committee, following eight years as President of the (ISC)² Central Florida Chapter.
